Mike Metzger, CEO
Mike leads MediaPRO as a self-proclaimed technological junkie and a reformed engineer.
Mike offers a wealth of leadership experience in the B2B SaaS space, with his past two positions positioned him well for taking the helm at MediaPRO. While at Performant, a software diagnostic test tool for J2EE applications, he guided the company from the pre-revenue stage to millions in revenue and ultimately a sale to Mercury Interactive. Most recently Mike served as CEO at PayScale, scaling the company from a start-up to a $100 million market leader. The company grew from four to 450 employees under his watch, serving more than 8,000 customers of all sizes. During this 15-year period, Mike worked hand in hand with the PayScale executive team, Board of Directors and investors, including Warburg Pincus and Francisco Partners, to drive company strategy and growth.
His goal for MediaPRO: build on the company’s already strong position in the market and expand its customer base and product set to become the dominant player in the security awareness and privacy awareness training space.
Tom Pendergast, Chief Learning Officer
Tom Pendergast is MediaPRO’s Chief Learning Officer. He believes that every person cares about protecting data, they just don’t know it yet. That’s why he’s constantly trying to devise new and easy ways to help awareness program managers educate their employees. Whether it’s creating year-round programs to ensure employee commitment to cybersecurity and privacy best practices or working with teams of people to build and customize award-winning content, Tom is committed to getting employees, students, and even his mother to do the right thing when it comes to protecting data.
Tom holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from Purdue University, and has spent a career making complicated things simple, first as the founder of Full Circle Editorial, then in learning solutions with MediaPRO. For fun, he likes to scramble and trail run in the nearby mountains.
Jerome Gotz, VP of Custom Services
Jerome leads MediaPRO’s custom learning team supporting one of our largest and longest standing clients. Jerome has almost 40 years of experience in the learning industry and during that time has lead teams and organizations supporting a number of Fortune 500 companies. His experience on both sides of the supplier/client relationship gives him a unique perspective into the challenges that our clients face across the L&D landscape. His experience has been primarily focused on the use of technology to support learner-centric experiences.
Jerome has held many positions at MediaPRO over the last 18 years that have supported the growth and expansion of our business. His experience during this time has afforded an opportunity to develop cross-functional management and leadership skills that have ensured successful engagements with a long list of clients.
Julien Duplant, SVP Product Management
Julien has been with MediaPRO since 2009, and has occupied several different roles throughout the company. He led the development of Course Builder and Phishing and was the Product Manager for the Portal platform. Most recently, he was MediaPRO’s VP of Engineering and oversaw the software development teams and creation of LearningLAB.
Before MediaPRO, Julien worked for EIG Labs and provided voice recognition design expertise primarily for telecommunication IVR systems. Julien is a Texas native with a background in Business Computer Information Systems.
Carrie Grant, Vice President of Customer Success
Carrie Grant leads MediaPRO’s Client Success Team following seven years in customer advocacy and client operations at the SaaS firm Marchex, and eight years in client success at marketing agency BDA, both in the B2B space.
Carrie focuses on deep and long term customer relationships by creating a world-class onboarding-to-renewal customer experience for clients like General Motors, GE, FedEx, NFL, Ford Motor Company and Bridgestone.
Carrie most recently held the position of VP, Customer Success and VP, Client Operations where she built new revenue streams with professional services and ensured enhanced internal & external engagement via employee and customer training programs.

Christopher Fountain, Executive Chairman
Christopher has an extensive track record of leading and growing information technology companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. During his career, he’s led enterprise application, cybersecurity, content management and compliance software and services companies serving a variety of industries, including energy, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, franchising, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, and government.
During his tenure as CEO of SecureInfo he testified before Congress regarding pending cybersecurity legislation and appeared on multiple radio shows. He’s a Ponemon Fellow and advisor to multiple cybersecurity companies. Over his 20+ years in C-level management, he’s led efforts to raise capital at six companies and played a key role in six successful exits.
Christopher graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan with a B.S. degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering.
Steve is the founder and past CEO of MediaPRO and continues to offer advice and oversight as a board member. He has more than 25 years of experience in the learning and security awareness markets, including working strategically with many companies to determine how they can effectively leverage learning programs to improve performance, secure and protect data, and lower costs. As founder, Steve successfully positioned MediaPRO to deliver thousands of innovative and high-quality information security, privacy, and corporate compliance initiatives for a variety of industries.
Steve has a B.A. in Finance from Central Washington University and his past experience includes various management and leadership roles at Oracle, Comshare, and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
Scott Hoch, a Partner at Frontier Capital, joined the team in 2007 to help lead the firm’s investments in Healthcare IT and Human Resources Technology companies.
As a current board member at ECI, e-Verifile, Aviacode, WilsonHCG, and Zephyr, Scott works with management teams to provide strategic and financial support, identifying paths to create long-term value. Prior to joining Frontier, Scott held investment banking positions with Edgeview Partners and Bank of America.
Dave Pandullo, Vice President of Frontier Capital, joined the team in 2015 and is responsible for leading the evaluation and execution of new investments as well as supporting Frontier’s portfolio companies.
Dave enjoys working closely with executive teams of high-growth software companies to identify and execute on value creation initiatives that accelerate growth and improve operating performance. Prior to joining Frontier, Dave helped form TouchCare, a healthcare-IT startup, and worked in private equity for Morgan Creek Capital Management and Parthenon Capital Partners. Dave started his career in investment banking with McColl Partners.
Robert Shuford is a Managing Partner and Principal of Clovis Point Capital which he co-founded in 2014. Robert’s responsibilities include sourcing, executing, and managing investment opportunities. He serves on Clovis Point’s Investment Committee and as well as shares responsibility managing the Fund’s operations.
Previously, Robert served as a Managing Director on the lower middle market team of Main Street where he was employed in various roles since January of 2006. Prior to Main Street, Robert was a Senior Associate of Avail Consulting, LLC in the Financial Advisory Services Group.
