Tyler joined in 2018 as CEO and is leading MediaPRO’s transformation to focus exclusively on cybersecurity and privacy education while taking advantage of the firm’s rich history as an adult learning and instructional design leader. Tyler’s primary focus is building a world-class team of high-integrity, smart, strategic leaders who operate with a tremendous sense of urgency to address one of biggest challenges facing both the private and public sectors: the frailty of the human element in protecting confidential personal information and proprietary trade secrets.
Prior to joining MediaPRO, Tyler led revenue growth for SecureWorks, the leading managed security services provider, from less than $1 million to greater than $450 million through geographic, segment and channel expansion. In that time, Tyler owned all aspects of go-to-market and played an integral role in the sale of SecureWorks to Dell in 2011 and in the IPO spin out from Dell in 2016.
Tom Pendergast is MediaPRO’s Chief Strategist. He believes that every person cares about protecting data, they just don’t know it yet. That’s why he’s constantly trying to devise new and easy ways to help awareness program managers educate their employees. Whether it’s pulling together the Adaptive Awareness Framework—a staged plan to ensure employee commitment to cybersecurity and privacy best practices—or working with teams of people to build SaaS tools and award-winning content, Tom is committed to getting employees, students, and even his mother to do the right thing when it comes to protecting data.
Tom holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from Purdue University, and has spent a career making complicated things simple, first as the founder of Full Circle Editorial, then in learning solutions with MediaPRO. For fun, he likes to scramble and trail run in the nearby mountains.
Scott Urstad is MediaPRO’s Chief of Success and Services. He leads MediaPRO’s professional services team in implementing MediaPRO’s SaaS-based learning solutions and delivering custom development e-Learning projects. The Client Success team he leads is responsible for managing the technical and business relationships between MediaPRO and its clients, contributing to MediaPRO’s ability to maximize the value it derives from each client, resulting in long-term sustainable client advocacy.
Scott has more than 24 years in the learning industry designing, developing, and implementing highly-regarded and innovative learning solutions for Fortune 500 companies worldwide. Scott holds a Master’s in English and Second Language Linguistics from Washington State University.
Matt joined MediaPRO in 2018 as Chief Revenue Officer to lead all go-to-market efforts with a focus on putting the client experience at the focal point of everything MediaPRO does. Matt’s entire career has been centered around cybersecurity, from leading security operations programs to building high-growth sales, solution design, and product strategy organizations. Matt’s experience with technology focused security products and solutions has proven how important security and privacy awareness and training is to address risk across the business.
Prior to joining MediaPRO, Matt served as Vice President of Global Product Management at Secureworks, where he was responsible for the entire portfolio of products and solutions, recognized by Gartner as the leader in the managed security services market. He also held leadership roles in sales, sales engineering, and solution design during his 12-year tenure at Secureworks. Matt holds a CISSP certification and earned an MBA from Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
Kevin leads MediaPRO’s research and development and engineering teams. He is an accomplished software executive with extensive experience in the design and delivery of extremely high-performance systems for organizations such as AT&T and DIRECTV, as well as a trusted technology advisor to startups, investors, and venture capital firms.
In 1994 Kevin founded and operated eCandy.com, one of the first gift oriented e-commerce firms, until its sale in 1999. He then founded Interknack, a boutique consultancy focused on building highly scalable systems with high-performance teams, until its sale in 2006. After joining AT&T, Kevin became a multiple-year Chairman’s Award Winner, CIO Award winner for the delivery of web-based real-time communications, and singled out to become an annual innovation award “Judge-Mentor” for AT&T’s Technology Development organization.
Thom leads MediaPRO’s marketing team and has more than 25 years’ experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies, building high-performing teams, and creating customer-focused campaigns. Thom helps to enhance the MediaPRO family of brands and advance the company’s growth and leadership position in the market.
Prior to joining MediaPRO, Thom served in a variety of executive roles including Chief Evangelist of Kentico Software and Chief Product Marketer for Socrata. Thom also enjoyed success at Microsoft where he served as the Director of Audience Marketing and led the Microsoft .NET Framework product management team.
As MediaPRO’s CFO, Chris oversees all aspects of finance, accounting, and human resources. Chris has unique and varied experience blending capital markets and investment management skills with actual operational experience as a C-level executive.
Prior to MediaPRO, Chris served as the senior-most finance executive for Envestnet | Tamarac, a leading provider of integrated, web-based portfolio rebalancing, performance reporting, and customer relationship management software for independent advisers and wealth managers.
He holds a B.S. in Economics with a double concentration in Finance and Strategic Management from the Wharton Undergraduate Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Steve is the founder and past CEO of MediaPRO and continues to offer advice and oversight as a board member. He has more than 25 years of experience in the learning and security awareness markets, including working strategically with many companies to determine how they can effectively leverage learning programs to improve performance, secure and protect data, and lower costs. As founder, Steve successfully positioned MediaPRO to deliver thousands of innovative and high-quality information security, privacy, and corporate compliance initiatives for a variety of industries.
Steve has a B.A. in Finance from Central Washington University and his past experience includes various management and leadership roles at Oracle, Comshare, and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
Scott Hoch, a Partner at Frontier Capital, joined the team in 2007 to help lead the firm’s investments in Healthcare IT and Human Resources Technology companies.
As a current board member at ECI, e-Verifile, Aviacode, WilsonHCG, and Zephyr, Scott works with management teams to provide strategic and financial support, identifying paths to create long-term value. Prior to joining Frontier, Scott held investment banking positions with Edgeview Partners and Bank of America.
Dave Pandullo, Vice President of Frontier Capital, joined the team in 2015 and is responsible for leading the evaluation and execution of new investments as well as supporting Frontier’s portfolio companies.
Dave enjoys working closely with executive teams of high-growth software companies to identify and execute on value creation initiatives that accelerate growth and improve operating performance. Prior to joining Frontier, Dave helped form TouchCare, a healthcare-IT startup, and worked in private equity for Morgan Creek Capital Management and Parthenon Capital Partners. Dave started his career in investment banking with McColl Partners.
Robert Shuford is a Managing Partner and Principal of Clovis Point Capital which he co-founded in 2014. Robert’s responsibilities include sourcing, executing, and managing investment opportunities. He serves on Clovis Point’s Investment Committee and as well as shares responsibility managing the Fund’s operations.
Previously, Robert served as a Managing Director on the lower middle market team of Main Street where he was employed in various roles since January of 2006. Prior to Main Street, Robert was a Senior Associate of Avail Consulting, LLC in the Financial Advisory Services Group.
