MediaPRO Courseware Earns 8 Honors in Fall 2019 Omni Awards
The Fall 2019 Omni Awards have been announced, and MediaPRO course modules have brought home awards in the gold, silver, and bronze categories!
The course It’s Time to End Sexual Harassment won five awards:
- Gold in the Educational category
- Silver in the Graphic Design, User Interface Design, and Writing categories
- Bronze in the 508 Compliance category for accessibility
This sexual harassment course teaches 10 key principles of modernized sexual harassment prevention that help build a company culture of safety and empathy.
Our CCPA Privacy Basics course brought home three awards:
- Silver in the Educational and Writing categories
- Bronze in 508 Compliance
The CCPA course was built to address the employee training needs brought about by the California Consumer Privacy Act, which goes into effect January 2020. Beyond mere compliance, the course is designed to instill a sense of responsibility for data privacy that employees can carry beyond the office.
Earlier this year, the CCPA course won silver in the 15th Annual Davey Awards.
Films/videos, websites, and apps completed within the last three years are eligible for entry in the Omni Awards competition. All entries are judged by a jury of applicants’ peers, and scored on a ten-point scale.
“We are honored and grateful that our work in these two important topics is being recognized with multiple prestigious awards, “MediaPRO CEO Mike Metzger said. “This acknowledgement further strengthens our commitment to helping today’s workforce successfully navigate the important societal issues of harassment and privacy and ultimately reduce risk.”
About the Omni Awards
The Omni Awards, owned and operated by Media Corp Inc., recognize outstanding achievements in film/video, web and mobile media.
Primarily focused in the converging fields of film, video, TV, website and app development, this nationally-known competition awards those people who exemplify the highest standards of quality. The Omni Awards accept entries from the United States and countries around the world.
Entries scoring between 7.5-8.5 win bronze, between 8.5-9.5 win silver, and between 9.5-10 win gold. An estimated 70% of all entrants do not receive an award, indicating the high level of production value required to reach award status.
