MediaPro is pleased to announce the addition of new training content focusing on identity theft and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) compliance to its vast library of course offerings.
The identity theft content joins MediaPro’s award-winning Adaptive Security and Adaptive Privacy libraries, while the GLBA material is part of our Adaptive Compliance Library. In total, the three libraries offer more than 12 hours of courseware and are the foundation of MediaPro’s highly flexible Adaptive Awareness Framework for developing effective employee awareness programs.
“As with all our training content, these new offerings can be mixed and matched with other content form our libraries to build courses to meet the training needs of any organization,” said Tom Pendergast, MediaPro’s Chief Strategist for Security, Privacy, and Compliance.
Identity Theft Training
SEC-regulated entities that qualify as financial institutions or creditors must offer annual identity theft awareness training as part of their overall identity theft prevention program, per the federal Identity Theft Red Flags Ruling. Our new identity theft training content teaches employees to recognize identity theft “Red Flags” when they see them using interactive engagement and real-world examples.
The goal is to create informed employees able to quickly identify the red flags of identity theft, which will protect your customers’ identities and your organization’s reputation.
Identity theft training topics include:
- Red Flag Overview
- Red Flag Identification
- Practice Red Flags Game
- When and How to Report a Potential Problem
The GLBA—also known as the Financial Services Modernization Act—requires all financial institutions to be vigilant in the handling of confidential customer and consumer financial information.
Our GLBA training content is designed to familiarize your employees with the provisions of the GLBA to ensure they take customer data protection seriously, thereby lowering your risk of GLBA-related penalties.
GLBA training topics include:
- What is the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA)?
- Who Must Comply with the GLBA?
- Privacy Notice
- Customers vs. Consumers
- Nonpublic Personal Information (NPI)
- Opt-Out Rights
- Consequences for Non-Compliance
- Reporting Violations
As with all of MediaPro’s courseware, our newly added training content can be customized to meet your company’s unique awareness program needs.
