MediaPRO At RSAC 2020
Join MediaPRO in promoting security awareness at one of the biggest cybersecurity conferences in the world
What Is the RSA Conference?
RSA Conference 2020 (RSAC 2020 for short) is an annual event where digital privacy and security professionals gather to exchange ideas, raise awareness, report on current trends, and propel the cybersecurity industry forward.
Straight from the organizers’ mouths:
“The goal of RSA Conference is to help the industry mature while preparing individuals to grow into their roles as defenders of the world. When we recognize that cybersecurity is, fundamentally, about people protecting people, the world becomes a better, more secure place.”
The conference typically draws tens of thousands of the best and brightest in the industry to talk shop, learn from each other, and share best practices for everything cyber. RSAC 2020 is taking over the Moscone Center in San Francisco Feb. 24-28.
2020 Theme: The Human Element
This year’s RSAC theme is the Human Element.
Much to the joy of employee training and awareness nerds like us, this theme recognizes that even with all the new technologies, strategies, and artificial intelligence being deployed within the industry, it’s still about the professionals within cybersecurity who are changing the face of the industry and helping us all.
Humans are the ones securing data. Humans are the ones keeping hackers at bay.
And it’s humans, the everyday employees, who need the right know-how to recognize the myriad cyberthreats out there and know what actions to take.
Join thousands of your colleagues and peers in the cybersecurity space in San Francisco for the biggest cyber show of the year.Sign Up for RSAC 2020
MediaPRO Chief Strategist Taking the Stage
MediaPRO Chief Strategist Lisa Plaggemier will be featured in two RSAC 2020 sessions, both geared toward the human side of cybersecurity and how to make the most out of a security awareness initiative.
Lisa is a trailblazer in security training and awareness, a prominent security influencer and a frequent speaker at major events. She uses her deep and diverse experience to fuel an innovative approach that engages learners and influences behavior.
Learn more about the sessions below:
Wednesday Feb 26 || 8:00-8:50 Moscone South | Classroom | Part3-W01
Want to change up your program but not sure where to start? Looking for more meaningful metrics than phishing clicks and training completion? These experts will help awareness professionals think outside of the box. Featuring Lisa Plaggemier; Perry Carpenter of KnowBe4; Daniel Eliot of the National Cyber Security Alliance; and Masha Sedova of Elevate Security.
Wednesday Feb 26 | 9:20-11:20 | Moscone South | Learning Lab | LAB1-W02
Talking about the human element is a hot topic these days—but it’s hard to actually change humans. It’s more art than science, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be taught.
This workshop will explore psychological challenges we all face—apathy, fatigue, and denial—as well as the inherent benefits in human physiology, such as how our brain chemistry responds to stories. Lisa Plaggemier will co lead this session with Tonia Dudley, Security Solutions Provider at Cofense.
